The 2022-2023 METREX Bernard Steinacher Fellowship will research “European Metropolises in Response to COVID-19 (Post)Pandemic Crisis – Recovery, Renewal and Resilience”.
On behalf of Dr Kamil Glinka – the current METREX Bernard Steinacher Fellow – we would like to invite Members to participate in the research project.
The main objective of the project is to carry out a multifactorial diagnosis and analysis of the activity of metropolitan self-governments in Europe aimed at counteracting the destructive COVID-19 (post)pandemic crisis.
The research is comparative and based on a case study embedded in a network approach. The measurable results of the research include:
- developing a model of response to the COVID-19 (post)pandemic crisis implemented by European metropolises, with particular emphasis on the functioning of those sectoral (problematic) areas that are key for the operation of metropolises;
- developing a scenario (matrix) presenting possible variants of cooperation between metropolitan self-governments in Europe (bilateral and multilateral) in the face of the COVID-19 (post)pandemic crisis.
Members are encouraged to take part in an electronic survey consisting of 24 questions.
In case of any problems, questions or remarks please do not hesitate to contact Dr Kamil Glinka, e-mail: kamil.glinka2@uwr.edu.pl
