As part of World Metropolitan Day, METREX organises an event open to all to debate and discuss our new Manifesto.
METREX believes that European Metropolitan Regions and Areas are best in place to address the challenges facing our future. By working at a scale that is grounded in practical solutions, yet with the reach to effect widespread change, our members stand ready to help develop a productive, healthy, green and sustainable Europe.
This Manifesto is a call to all European Metropolitan Regions and Areas to join METREX in demonstrating the pivotal role they play in solving the challenges ahead. It calls upon them to set the necessary pace and demonstrate the power of local execution, to meet societal and ecological deadlines that we believe will otherwise not be met.
