The SURE (Strategic Urban Region Eurodelta) METREX Expert Group holds its inaugural meeting in Cologne on 1 February 2019.
This will be an important preparatory meeting for establishing a new strategic planning network in the Eurodelta. The workshop on 1 February will have a number of inspiring presentations and discussions and a small excursion (urban walk) in a port transformation neighbourhood close to the workshop venue. We will end this programme with a dinner.
The SURE-area comprises three core economic regions, namely the Randstad conurbation area, the Metropolregion Rheinland, Vlaamse Ruit (Flemish Diamond) and the area in between, housing more than 50 million inhabitants.
We launched our network during the 2018 Metrex conference and since then have prepared the next steps to form a common strategic agenda.
At this inaugural event we will share our aims for the SURE- partnership and invite you to share your main drivers of change. We aim with this meeting to work on common issues and goals and set up a strategic agenda for the coming years.
