“2049, metropolitan regions in Europe”

Date: March 7th – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Place: Perspective.Brussels
59th Namur street, B-1000 Brussels

Continues the activity program of the newly established METREX Foresighting Expert Group.
This week the Team coordinators will be hosted by perspective.brussels in a small gathering with special guests to explore possible scenarios of the future of Europe and the role of metropolitan areas and regions.

The central goal of the “Foresight for Europe” project is to analyse and shape multiple scenarios that Europe could face in the years to come, based on trends across different fields, including values, societal aspirations, institutional developments, technological advancements, and resource availability. The project will also identify major “uncertainty factors” that could influence Europe’s future trajectory.

The project plans to define scenarios about the role of metropolitan regions in Europe by 2049 to make the urban level count in the European agenda.

More news about the next steps and appointments will follow.
