EU legislation and policies for land-use planning on a regional scale was the focus of this new appointment of the Metropolitan Climate Challenge Expert Group. Following the discussion on ‘Nature-based solutions on a regional scale‘, this webinar delved into the newly adopted Nature Restoration regulation and No net land take / Soil restoration law and their implication for local and regional authorities.

Benjamin CASPAR, Team Leader of the Urban Environment Policy at DG ENVI of the European Commission.
Mr. Caspar will give an introduction to Nature restoration law
Alfredo CORBALAN, perspective.brussels, the Brussels Capital Region Urban Planning Agency.
Alfredo will introduce No net land take/soil monitoring law and some reflections emerged from the exchanges at the METREX Autumn Conference 2024 in Bucharest, Romania.
The seminar is hosted by the METREX Metropolitan Climate Challenge Expert Group.
