15–17 September 2010, held at the Radialsystem V conference space. This Conference was held jointly with the Scandria project and hosted by the City of Berlin and the Land of Brandenburg.
The theme was – Metropolitan Futures – Living, Learning, Creating, Moving – METREX meets Scandria.
It covered three days with a joint first day setting the scene for the 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall and including a Prime Speaker on The Creative City – Towards the Creative Region and six Keynote speakers on aspects of the theme.
These covered Improving Accessibility, Greening Transport, Motivating Creativity and Economic Resources. METREX days followed with more specific presentations on Quality of Life in Metropolitan Regions. These began with Berlin- Brandenburg, where there is a Joint Spatial Planning Department. There were Keynote addresses with a focus on climate change and on transportation.
