Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta
METREX is pleased to sponsor the Next Generation Podium
This is an invitation to the next generation of planners, designers and urban thinkers, universities and research institutes on behalf of the SURE Network, to participate in the development of the Eurodelta mega-region. Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta 2023 is a symposium to bring out fresh perspectives from the young generation and create dialogues between experts practice and academia.
After the success of the first two editions in 2021 and 2022 , we are hosting a third edition of the Next Generation Podium to continue to explore further the future developments of the Eurodelta.
This year, Next Generation Podium also connects with the Waterweek New York Agenda, to bring back the focus on vulnerable delta regions.
This edition is a program open to students, young researchers and professionals working in the field of architecture, design, urban studies, economic geography and spatial planning. Unlike the previous two editions of the symposium, this years edition will be split across two separate weeks with the online lecture series taking place between the 20th and 22nd of March while the online workshop will take place between the 11th and 12th of May.
The Lunch Forums (March 20th, 21st and 22nd)
The lunch forums will be conducted online, starting with the lectures at 12:00 which will last for one and a half hours. These lectures will be given by significant practitioners within the Eurodelta and will focus on three critical themes that the region grapples with. After a brief 30 minute break the day will continue with an hour long open office. This aspect of the symposium takes place in person and on site at one of several relevant offices. The open offices and days will then conclude at 15:00. This years symposium will include 6 open offices which will provide a diverse and insightful set of options across the Eurodelta where participants can both learn and network.
