METREX is delighted to welcome two new members to its growing network of metropolitan regions and areas.
Città Metropolitana di Genova, the city authority for Genova, is welcomed as a full member and ANCI Liguria, an association of and for local municipalities, is welcomed as an Observer member.
These additions further enhance an already strong network of members in Italy, who are committed to participating in the programmes of METREX.
Speaking about the growth of the METREX network, the Secretary General, Henk Bouwman, said: “It is fantastic to see further support from regions and areas in Italy. They understand the value that comes from sharing and contrasting approaches with other parts of Europe. But there is also a great deal to learn from our members in Italy, including our two new members, on new approaches and forward thinking.”
