Major projects

  • PTC2 (Provincial Spatial Co-ordination Plan n.2): it defines guidelines and regulations mainly addressed to metropolitan municipalities. One of the key objectives is the reduction of land consumption and sprawl.

  • PTGM (General metropolitan Spatial plan): it is the new spatial planning tool introduced by the 2014 National Law for the establishment of Italian metropolitan cities and it will replace the PTC2 (currently being drafted)

  • PSM (metropolitan strategic plan): it is the fundamental administrative act of the Metropolitan City of Turin and defines 5 project platforms and 63 actions / projects for the development of the metropolitan area (312 Municipalities).

  • Metropolitan Geoportale and opendata: this project aims to share data and territorial maps. Through agreements with the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin and the other metropolitan municipalities, we intend to implement the experimentation of innovative tools for planning (territorial observatories, “City planning without paper”, metropolitan cloud ..)

  • Socio-economic development of the whole Metropolitan City of Turi (Reduction of the service gap between lowland areas and mountain areas; Development of local transportation networks and improvement of integrated transportation hubs; Administrative simplification, in particular in favour of new economic activities);

  • Protection and enhancement of the environment and increase of the safety and resilience of the territories
