16–19 September 2009, hosted by the Municipality of Wroclaw and held at the University of Wroclaw.
The theme was – The Multigenerational Metropolis.
The issues in Wroclaw were presented by a range of speakers from the Municipality and the University. They were also illustrated by a moderated session on the Saxon Triangle (Leipzig, Dresden, Halle Chemnitz). The Saxon Triangle is now the Metropolregion Mitteldeutschland (Central Germany), which has become a Member of METREX.
The Conference included moderated exchange sessions between colleagues from Spain (Sevilla and Barcelona) and Portugal (Lisboa and Porto), Switzerland (Zurich) and Austria (Wien) and Denmark (Copenhagen) and The Netherlands (Rotterdam/den Haag).
